When painting or staining ACRE products, it’s critical to choose the right color and paint/stain type for ACRE to perform as expected and to avoid the effects of excessive expansion and contraction, especially with outdoor applications.

ACRE does not absorb paints, stains or clear coats as typical wood products do.

your paint/stain choice must be water-based
your chosen paint/stain color must have a light reflective value (LRV) of 55 or greater
your paint/stain type and color must be an approved coating and color found on the moderN mill website
if opting for a custom color, choose from modern mill's signature 897 collection of colors that have been approved or have the paint/stain manufacturer custom mix the color for you
