Penthouse Coop
Our Penthouse Coops are just like the Carolina or American chicken coop without the run.It’s perfect for people who already have a designated area for their chickens, but just need a quality chicken coop. This chicken coop comes with all the standard features of the Carolina Coop or American Coop henhouse.
- Premium Douglas fir lumber framing with pressure treated ground 6″x6″ legs
- Deep litter bed in henhouse – no cleaning for at least a year or longer
- Acre™ lined deep litter bed with flip-down clean-out door for easy cleaning
- One egg hutch with 3 nest boxes suitable for 16 hens lined with Acre™ (with removable dividers) or 5 nest box for the 8-foot Penthouses.
- Two 6′ or 8 ‘ rope wrapped roost bars (removable for easy cleaning)
- Three large cantilever style adjustable windows with polycarbonate cover over ½” hardware cloth – Steel dowels included
- Henhouse screen doors with tilt-up (cantilevered) doors to keep out cold and rain – Steel dowels included
- 1/2 inch black PVC coated hardware cloth wire
- Manual henhouse door (at top of ladder)
- Metal roofing and exterior black or zinc hardware (latches, hinges)
- Chicken ladder
- All our chicken coops are predator resistant
Shipping is free for all deliveries made within the lower 48 states.
Your new coop will be arriving by freight, packed onto a pallet. Before purchasing, you should determine if freight to residence via tractor trailer can be delivered to your residence.
If your address is unable to receive freight deliveries, please carefully review each shipping option to determine the appropriate truck size needed for pick up at the terminal nearest your house, or for pick up at the Carolina Coops Shop in Creedmor, NC.

FREIGHT TO RESIDENCE is a shipping option for a 3rd party freight carrier to transport your palletized coop to your delivery address and off load your pallet curbside. This service is not available to all residential addresses. It is the responsibility of the customer to verify that a tractor trailer truck can deliver to your address. You can do so by calling your local zoning or highway department to verify and not incur additional fees.Your residence will be deemed inaccessible for tractor-trailer delivery if any of the following conditions apply:
- Roads leading to your house have low-hanging branches.
- Single-lane roads.
- Gated passes or entry codes.Small or narrow bridges.
- Road is unpaved or has no through access.
- No space for the truck to turn around.Residence is on a dead-end street or cul-de-sac.
If you have any of those conditions, you will need to choose Freight to Terminal Pickup. FREIGHT TO TERMINAL is a shipping option for a 3rd party freight carrier to transport your palletized coop to a receiving terminal near you for pick up.
